The practice has always been involved with training and innovation. We were the first practice in North Yorkshire to win an NHS Beacon Services award, and one of the first to receive the Investor in People accreditation. We are always working with other local agencies to plan and co-ordinate the development of local healthcare services. Our philosophy is to offer a combination of the best modern treatment backed up by traditional personal care.

Parking

We have a private car park at the rear of the surgery, access is from Petyt Grove. The gate may be locked when the surgery is closed. The car park is for patients whilst they are actually using the surgery. 

Disabled Access

This is via the automatic doors in the main entrance. We have disabled accessible toilets in the main building and at Dyneley Barn.

The surgery is closed for staff training from 1pm on Wednesday 24th April and will reopen at 8am Thursday morning as usual.

For anything urgent please contact 111.

The best ways to contact the practice are through the internet and by telephone. Internet enquiries can be made through PATCHS using the link above.

We operate a triage system for all urgent and same day appointments. In order to ensure that patients are directed to the right health care professional we now have a GP working alongside our care navigators.

This is likely to mean that there will be a longer wait for your call to be answered. Rather than waiting on the telephone we recommend that you request a callback – your place in the queue will be maintained and you will be contacted at the same time as if you had remained on the line.

In order to prioritise appointments and home visits we will not deal with general enquiries until 11am.

Please do not make urgent appointments by coming to reception unless you experience communication difficulties using the phone or PATCHS.

When we are closed

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111 to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery opens.

Emergency

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Staff at Dyneley House Surgery have chosen The Clothing Bank as a charity to support for 2024/25.

The charity supports people who are in employment but still find themselves in poverty, struggling to clothe themselves and/or their family.

We are targeting our support at donating new clothing of any size. We are collecting these donations in our Food Bank Trolley in the waiting room and will then take them to The Clothing Bank’s local office. We would like to invite any patients who feel able to donate new clothing too – please put any items you are able to provide in the Food Bank Trolley in reception.

Please remember these items must be new and unworn, ideally in their original packaging.
