Did Not Attend Policy
We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service and to achieve this we need your help.
Patients who fail to attend for their appointments and do not let us know incur significant costs to the NHS and lost appointments make it harder for us to see other patients who need to be seen.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please make every effort to cancel it well in advance so that it may be offered to someone else.
This can be done over the phone, or online.
Dyneley House Surgery will monitor those patients who do not attend their appointments quarterly.
- If patients do not attend an appointment and do not cancel before hand they will be contacted about this reminding them of what we expect.
- If patients fail to attend a further appointment without prior notification/cancellation, they will be written to and advised that they will no longer be able to self book routine appointments and will need to contact the practice over the phone or online.
- If the patient fails to attend a further appointment following receipt of the previous letter, the patient will be written to again and advised that they will need to register with another practice.
